        Abreviated Background:
Monica lived a fairly normal life until she was about six years old. The family car was hit by a drunk driver, killing her parents and severely injuring her and her baby brother, Andrew. She recovered completely aside from scars, but her brother was left deaf. They were sent to live with relatives, where Monica learned to be independent and self-sufficient.

After finishing medical school, she took a job at a major Chicago hospital, only to quit several months later, sick of the politiking that ran rampant. She opened her own practice. At about the same time, Andrew was institutionalized, spending weeks at a time in a catatonic state. Monica spent so much time trying to deal with her brother's care and therapy that her practice failed. She was at loose ends for some time, until a mysterious telegram arrived, asking her to be a member of a governmental investigation group.

Monica's work with the group has certainly had its ups and downs, she's now married to Elijah Glasgow, nephew of her team leader, York Glasgow. A near-fatal attack by unknown assailants has left her extremely susceptible to dehydration, but other than that she is fairly healthy, if not always happy with the lot in life Group work gives her.

        Character Quirks
Monica loves snakes and other reptiles. She keeps almost a dozen in her home, Hippocrates, Ophelia, Montgomory, Lucille, Candace, and Herbert, as well as the ones that belong to her husband. She never drinks. She is not an especially good driver, and prefers to take cabs or buses, but is a moderate acrophobe and will tend to avoid planes. She also has a tendancy to motion sickness, especial
