Abreviated Background:
For as long as she can remember, Leah has wanted to work in law enforcement. An uncanny knack for computers and electronics propelled her swiftly through the hierarchy of the FBI, and she was very ambitious for bigger and better things. A young agent, she has been often commended for her intuitive grasp of situations.
Leah's life drastically changed six months ago, when her older sister, long noted for a rather unimpressive record of irresponsibility, dropped off her two small children on Leah's doorstep and basically told her to "Have a nice life." Leah had no experience at all with childrearing, but did not want to leave her nephew and niece to the foster-care system. She does her best to take care of the children, Caleb, five, and Lissa, nine months. By a bizzare twist of fate, she later adopted another child, a newborn she named Angela.
After assuming responsibility for the children, Leah's career came virtually to a standstill. Her work was still meticulous and precise, but the driving ambition that had pushed her was gone, and she was forced to dedicate a great deal of time and energy to her home life. No formal reprimands or warnings were ever given to her, but much surreptitious headshaking was done by her superiors. It seems that she has gone as far as she can in the Bureau, at least while she is trying to raise the children.
Personality and Character Quirks:
Leah is much more comfortable with computers and electronics, or even weapons, than with people. She is generally a sociable person, although she can get a bit testy when she's overtired, which is often, these days. She does her best work under high levels of stress, and can be counted on when things get sticky. She is very susceptible to both stimulants and tranquilizers, and avoids caffeine when possible. Leah watches her money carefully, almost to the point of being stingy, so her wardrobe is basic, but neat and fairly attractive.
