Abbreviated Background:

Anya's mother died in childbirth and she was raised soley by her father who was a bounty hunter. He was also a game hunter and taught Anya at an early age how to track in all sorts of weather and terrain.

After her father died when she was 19, Anya did her best to go on without him and was employed by her father's boss as a junior bounty hunter. At the age of 20, she went out with her boyfriend to a concert. They stopped at a donut shop and as they were standing in line, armed men wearing masks attempted to rob the store. Anya was caught in the crossfire and suffered fatal injuries when she was shot in the chest with an automatic weapon.

Fearing for her death, her boyfriend (who, unbeknownst to Anya, was a vampire)did what he could to save her life. Unfortunately for Anya, that was bringing her over and turning her into a vampire.

Anya did not adjust well, spending her time feeding on small animals and feeling sorry for herself. She was found by The Recruiter, an operative of P13, and brought to Galveston, where she's adjusted much better. She's learned how to use her vampire powers and has accepted what she is. She even occasionally enjoys herself.

Character Quirks:

Anya is nice. There is no other word to describe her. She will go out of her way to help someone, she tries very hard not to offend anyone, she never kills unless there is absolutely no other alternative. The only exception to Anya's niceness is Andy van Proost. Anya doesn't like Andy and thinks he's a monster of the worst kind.

Passing for human is her best vampire skill and she can do it well enough to fool vampire hunters, other vampires and other preternatural creatures.

She can usually be found in the company of Raina Sanderson, though it's just not a pretty sight when those two play...
