What is the Alliance for Democracy?

Things were going great in 2200. With the discovery of parallel universe travel 150 years before, thousands of worlds had joined together in the Alliance for Democracy, and a new age of technological progress and peace had begun. Until THEY came, and the Great War began.

They called themselves the One Race; (we think they're an offshoot of Neanderthals) and they came for war, aiming to add us to their already huge empire, where we came for peace. Millions died in the first few years of the war; hundreds of our worlds were conquered, billions were enslaved. In 2217, we managed to beat back their attack on our capitol, Earth Alpha, and steal their technology for tracking "jumps" between worlds. And in 2286, that's where we are now. We've taken back some of our worlds; they've taken some of ours. We've got agents on their worlds, they've got agents on ours.

And that's what the Special Operations teams are for. Recruited from all over the Alliance, we're going to use imagination and cunning against their brute force and power, and we're going to end the war and make the omniverse free for all species, everywhere, again. That, or get killed, but I can't be killed anymore, so what the hell do I care?
